Perthshire Rugby’s members and volunteers have worked exceptionally hard to build our reputation as one of the leading providers of amateur sport in Scotland. Our club values of Sportsmanship, Pride, Respect and Inclusion are at the core of everything we do.

With the news that Scotland is now moving out of lockdown, we are now looking forward to the start of the Perthshire Rugby Season 2021-22 in August.  With this in mind, and to help continue the success of Perthshire Rugby, we are looking to recruit more volunteers for the season ahead.

We are always looking to increase our pool of volunteers, and we are asking all of our members to consider helping out and volunteering in a role that will keep the club running at its absolute best and continuing to thrive. Whether you’re a current player, someone who has hung up their boots or a person who has never picked up the oval ball, you could be a valued rugby volunteer at Perthshire Rugby.

Our Women & Girls section continues to grow, we have an exciting opportunity for you to be part of their journey.  We are looking for a U16 Girls Coach and U14 Girls Team Manager.  Both roles will form a vital role in the development and management of Girls Rugby at Perthshire.  Can you help bring out the inner eagle in our girls, and help the team fly high to victory?

There is also an opening for a LottoClub Co-ordinator.   This person is responsible for the smooth operation and management of our Members LottoClub.  If you have some time to help and make someone’s dreams come true by picking our future Lotto Winner … please get in touch.

In a world where social media has played a vital part in keeping us all connected, we are looking to recruit a Social Media Manager.  We have an exciting future ahead and your input into helping us drive the brand of Perthshire Rugby across all our social media platforms will be invaluable.  Are you the person to generate highly engaging social media campaigns for our members and supporters, if so please get in touch.

Veterans Fitness Touch – The Glorious Comeback!

Over 35s Fitness Touch Returns

It’s back! Time to dust off the boots and blow out the cobwebs. Starting this Friday 21st May, Veterans’ Fitness Touch Rugby makes it’s long-awaited return to the North Inch.

Under the most recent COVID-19 rules up to 50 players can now join in every Friday night 6:30-7:30pm.

If you’re over 35, book your place using the Sports-Train App. If you’ve forgotten or lost your login, or already have an account but need added to the Veterans, please contact Macker who can sort it for you. If you’re new, then sign up on the Sports-Train App, the Club code is pert2438a.

Kilted Eagles Fantastic Fundraiser!!!

Scotland’s Virtual Kiltwalk 2021 was held over the weekend of the 23rd to the 25th of April, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our amazing Eagles who took part in raising funds for our charity Perthshire Community Rugby Trust.

Over the three days our Senior Team set themselves the ambitious target to run the length of Scotland around the North Inch. The distance to be covered was 275 miles which equates to 184 laps.  But, with the final count in they achieved much more, they not ran the length of Scotland but they made it all the way to Blackpool!!

On Sunday our Mini Section Eaglets & P6’s set fun rugby challenges at their training session for all of their team to take part.  Our three P7 mountaineers climbed Schiehallion on Saturday and Team Rose completed a 22km cycle round Loch Leven on Friday evening.

Thanks to all your amazing efforts we raised a staggering £9081.50, this includes the very generous 50% top up by The Hunter Foundation.

We are so incredibly grateful to everyone who supported our Kiltwalkers.  Special thanks to our Club Captain & Team Managers who helped organised their team events and to our individual fundraisers who set their own socially distanced challenges.

Absolutely fantastic, well done Eagles…..Bring on the Kiltwalk 2022!!
