The nominations are in for Awards Dinner! This night is set to be a celebration of all things Perthshire Rugby with: 14 awards presented.

Hosted by Club Captain, Rhys Darlington with awards and presentations from across Perthshire Rugby, you will be entertained by a review of the Men’s and Women’s Season from Mens Head Coach and Director of Rugby Graham “Smudge” Smith and Womens Captain Alex Ward respectively.

Join your whole Club to mark the end of the 2023-24 season, celebrate the silverware won and achievements of the players, coaches and wider Club. Arrive from 7pm to be seated by 7:30pm at the at the Salutation Hotel, Perth.

Tickets at £40 per head, can be obtained via the Club webshop for tables which will seat 8. Alternatively, they can be bought in cash given to the Club Captain Rhys Darlington Closing date for ticket sales is Monday 20th May.

Players from the U18s can claim a £10 discount off their ticket. Details of how to buy these will come from your Team Manager. 

The menu will be: Lentil soup (v); Steak Pie with seasonal vegetables and potatoes; Sticky Toffee Pudding with pouring cream. The 2022-23 season is coming to its conclusion, with success and excitement on & off the pitch. To celebrate all players, coaches, members and supporters are invited to the annual Awards Dinner. Its an evening not to missed with 14 awards to be announced and presented on the night across the whole of Perthshire Rugby Club.

Look out for the nominations being announced over the coming weeks on the website and social media.

It will be held in the Salutation Hotel, 34 South Street, Perth on Friday 26th May 2023. Arriving from 7pm to be seated by 7:30pm.

Burns Night Bingo

Your Invitation to Perthshire Rugby Burns Night – Saturday 28th January 2023

Happy New Year! Perthshire Rugby invites you to join us for Burns Night Bingo at The Mexican. Doors open from 6pm with the first games played at 6:30pm. There are prizes to win and in between games there will be a few Burns recitals for your entertainment provided by specially selected members & players from across the rugby club.

This is a whole club social event and everyone (members, players, supporters from all sections) is welcome to attend. Tickets cost £10 and include the 2-course meal: haggis, neeps and tatties (vegetarian alternative available) and chocolate fudge cake. Bingo tickets sold separately on the night.

Perthshire 1st XV v Murrayfield Wanderers

On Saturday 26th November, Perthshire 1st XV will play Murrayfield Wanderers on the North Inch.  Murrayfield Wanderers commissioned a trophy in memory of Adam and the winning team will be presented with the Adam Pattinson Memorial Trophy on the day.  To mark this event, we would like to invite you to the North Inch to get behind the Eagles, and with your support help them soar to victory.

FRIENDS OF PERTHSHIRE LUNCH

Perthshire Rugby would like to invite friends, supporters and ex-players to join them in the Mexican for lunch before the game. Your day will start when you arrive at the Mexican from 11.30 am.  A two-course hot lunch will be served at 12 noon.  You will then make the short walk to the North Inch for kick off at 2pm, where you and your party will be pitch side for the Tennent’s National League Division 3 game.  Afterwards, please join the teams and officials for drinks and the presentation of the trophy.    The cost per head is £30.

26th November 6:30pm for 7pm at the Station Hotel, Perth.

All members and supporters are invited to join the Perthshire Rugby Christmas Party on 26th November. A 3 course meal, DJ, dancefloor, raffle and maybe a game or two – come and join the fun!

Tickets at £40 per head, can be obtained via the Club webshop; depending on numbers, tables will seat 8-10 guests. Alternatively, they can be bought in cash given to the Club Captain Ewan MacKessack-Leitch. Closing date for ticket sales is Sunday 13th November. The dress code is formal black tie attire.

Perthshire Rugby Quiz Night, Saturday 22nd October

Announcing the Perthshire Rugby Quiz on Saturday 22nd October at 7pm.

Come along for a night to test your knowledge, against fellow members and supporters of Perthshire Rugby. Quiz master for the night our very own Club Captain, as seen on TV’s UNBEATABLE, Ewan “MacKa” MacKessack-Leitch, has prepared some mind bending and tricky questions for you to answer. Can you beat the unbeatable?!

Doors open at Perth Bowling Club from 6:30pm for a Quiz start at 7pm. Teams of up to 6 players permitted. Entry for this Club fundraiser is £10 per player, payment on the night. Jackpot prize for the winning team.

Why not make a day of it? Come to the North Inch and support the 1XV who are playing Royal High RFC and the 2XV who are playing Rosyth Sharks, both kick-off at 3pm.

Stay at home and get involved with the Perthshire Rugby BIG NIGHT IN on Saturday 6:30pm-late. The evening’s entertainment is for all the family and not to be missed.

There are many fun rounds some to watch, some are interactive and we welcome your active participation!

It starts with Rhys Darlington for the first round of Play Your Cards Right, then the Mini Section test themselves at Wrong to be Right hosted by Aidan Watson & Georgina Adams. Up next Jeremy Wares will spare no criticism as he adjudicates the Omelette Showdown: speed, quality and consistency are the key!

Throughout the first half Mat Rae & Suzanne Rennie channel their inner Ant & Dec to host the 12 contestants over 3 heats and a final in the Masked Singer. You vote LIVE for the winner on the night! Can you guess who’s that behind the mask?

After the 9pm watershed the Iron Guts Challenge begins, a set of tasks set by Campbell Watson that would put Hercules to shame – those who have volunteered will battle it out for the title!

The evening will be punctuated with regular News bulletins from Dave Lewis and Heather with the Weather. There might be some surprises too!
