Senior Rugby Preseason Training

Growing squad pushing hard to make gains for upcoming season.
After the summer break the senior section are back preseason training. One week down and numbers have been good. The coaching team, led by Alan Clark, are looking to improve fitness, skills and conditioning over the next few weeks.
Anticipation and eagerness are aplenty amongst the squad for what looks to be an exciting season ahead. The 1XV are aiming to build on last year’s mid table finish and push for the top of National 3. Meanwhile the 2XV achieved promotion to Caledonia Midlands 3 so face the challenges of tougher opposition.
All players are welcome to train: new players, returning players, no experience necessary; come and join us! Training is on Tuesday & Thursday nights at the North Inch. Starts at 6pm in the Club Gym or arrive for 6:30pm on the playing field. The schedule of warm-up activities & matches:
  • 10th August: Team bonding trip with match against the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards.
  • 17th August: Friendlies against Stirling County 2XV & 3XV.
  • 23rd August: Friendly against Linlithgow (Friday night).
  • 31st August: 2XV season begins at home to Morgan.
  • 7th September: 1XV league opener at home to Greenock.

Perthshire Boys play their part in Caley u16 win over Glasgow

Well done to Perthshire u16 players Eric Davey, Callum MacGugan, Doug Yellowley and Stuart Hutchinson who all featured in the convincing 40-0 win over Glasgow yesterday. Well done boys!
