Job Opportunity – Business Development Manager
Perthshire Rugby is based at the North Inch Perth and in 2019 we celebrated our 150th Anniversary. We deliver a fantastic rugby programme for men, women, girls & boys. There’s strength and depth in our community with over 350 players and 70+ coaches and more than 550 members. We currently have one of biggest Midi and Mini sections in Scotland.
Perthshire Rugby seeks to appoint a Business Development Manager. Working for the leadership team this role will facilitate grant fundraising of ongoing operational costs & strategic capital investment projects. The position requires a dynamic, driven and enthusiastic person who can compellingly communicate the clubs vision, ethos and values.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
- To work with the management committee to deliver funding for capital investment projects in line with the club’s strategic plan.
- To work with the management committee to deliver funding for annual operating costs.
- To advise on grant opportunities and sources of fundraising for the Club.
- To lead and generate potential sources of funding such as grant-making trusts, sports’ governing bodies, community funds & business community engagement programmes.
- To actively engage with key stakeholders and represent the Club’s ambition, mission and core values.
- To successfully convert grant opportunities and obtain feedback/key learnings.
- To create activate and report against an annual programme of prioritised activities.
- To create new fundraising initiatives, oversee implementation and delivery.
- To provide monthly progress reports to the management committee.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of successful funding applications.
- A professional fundraiser would be considered for the position.
A current clean driving licence with their own transport is preferable.
