Perthshire Rugby are delighted to announce the line up for their 7s Tournament next Saturday which is set to be the biggest yet with 24 Men’s Teams, 8 Women’s Teams and 6 Vets (Over 35’s) Teams.
There were 5 pitches installed on the North Inch to accommodate last weekends Caledonia Cup Finals Day and they remain for the 7s Tournament which centres around the Marquee and entertainment of the excellent Perth Beer Festival (www.perthbeerfestival) next Saturday 11th May. The Tournaments kick off at 11am.
We welcome all teams from around Scotland plus special guests Oval’Mines RFC (Paris, France) and Morpeth (England) RFC who play in the Women’s Tournament and Men’s/Vets Tournaments respectively.
Other notable teams include Men’s Premiership teams, Boroughmuir, Glasgow Hawks and National 1 Champions, Marr; Women’s Sarah Beaney Cup Finalists, Hillhead Jordanhill and Edinburgh University who are a powerhouse of Women’s Rugby in BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sports).
Also, we welcome back last years champions, The Might Bovs from Edinburgh as well as league opponents, Hillhead Jordanhill.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Perthshire 7s without our local teams in the Midlands such as Crieff & Strathearn, Aberfeldy, Dundee HSFP, Abertay University, Dunfermline, Montrose & District, Kirkcaldy and Howe of Fife who are the only team to compete in the Men’s, Women’s and Vets Tournaments.

Completing the Men’s Draw are:
Liberton, Penicuik, Irvine, Preston Lodge, LFEA, Kaviti Babas, Dalkeith, Peebles Reds and Forrester.
Completing the Vets Draw are:
